Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc., is hiring MTS Product Development Engineer to Develop and/or test electrical components and/or systems for semiconductor products. Design, develop, and/or manage activities for a specific product or group of products (GPU, CPU, and/or APU) from product definition and planning through production, release and end of life. Responsible for enabling the availability of microprocessors to our customers. Understanding product features and performance targeting, developing end-to-end characterization test plans, and highlighting test flow coverage holes. Lead debugging across disciplines, analysis of characterization and yield data to optimize the test flow for cost and quality, and the execution of characterization plans for post-silicon. Serve as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution. Perform analysis of part failures leading to test flow improvement. Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products.

Qualifications: Degree required
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
Alternate combination of education and experience: Employer will accept alternate combination of education and experience: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or a related field and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
Specific skills required: The following skills are required:
With either combination of education and experience, the position requires three (3) years of experience in the following:
- Developing end-to-end characterization test plans for semiconductor products;
- IC Characterization Data analysis;
- Yield debug of ATE or SLT;
- Conducting failure analysis;
- Data analysis (Pareto, Statistical Analysis, or JMP);
- Production Yield and Parametric test analysis; and
- Performing integrated circuit validation.
