Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc. is hiring PMTS Software Development Engineer to engage with different groups for the collection and understanding of requirements from customers. Convert the customer ask to software requirements and come up with a plan. Discuss with other stakeholders on the feasibility of implementing customer requirements on CX10K. Create a design for the identified requirement. Coding the identified features. Review the code with peers. Review with other AMD leads to ensure the design works well with other components. Review the design with HPE architects to ensure smooth integration. Review with the QA and AMD field team to ensure that the design meets all the identified requirements. Triage and debug issues found by the QA team. Fix issues found by the QA team. Resolve any regression issues found in automation.

Qualifications: Degree required

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.

Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.

Alternate combination of education and experience: Employer will accept alternate combination of education and experience: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field and seven (7) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.

Specific skills required: The following skills are required:

Position requires five (5) years of experience in the following:

• Product development cycles;
• C or C ;
• Linux or Windows internals;
• Memory management or multi-threading;
• Code optimization using the GPU or software performance analysis;
• Software debugging (macOS, Linux, or Unix);
• Broadcom SDK; and
• Networking or Cloud.
