THE ROLE: 

AMD is looking for a senior software engineer who can contribute to the development of the release and scale of our inference engine. Our inference engine will make it easy for our customers to consume high performance AI models on top of AMD's hardware. You will be an early member of the infrastructure team delivery this product and will be expected to contribute to many parts of the stack whether it's becoming a build & release, CI/CD  and/or k8s serving expert.

THE PERSON: 

The ideal candidate should be passionate about software engineering and possess leadership skills to drive sophisticated issues to resolution. Able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Contribute to major components of the developer build system including its CI/CD infrastructure
• Contribute to major components of our overall distributed serving product.
• Collaborate with open-source developers to guide the ecosystem in adjacent projects.
• Stay informed of software and hardware trends and innovations, especially pertaining to developer productivity and/or Kubernetes.
• Design and develop new groundbreaking AMD technologies

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (at least 2): 

• Kubernetes in production
• Build tooling 
• CI/CD (GitHub actions/workflows an extra plus)

• Effective communication and problem-solving skills 

• Pytorch

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent

At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package.  Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
