THE ROLE:

Great opportunity for a Senior Software Development Manager career professional to join an elite team to develop ongoing solutions in the Artificial Intelligent Group (AIG) of AMD. AMD is looking for a senior manager to develop cutting edge AI PC software stack of Ryzen AI. The team is responsible for optimized code generation for accelerating cutting edge AI models on NPU/AI Engine accelerator.

THE PERSON:

We are looking for a hands-on leader who will be responsible for leading the team, planning software development projects, creation of documentation, and delivering software products for internal as well as external customers. This role also requires that the individual can interact and work with their counterparts globally to ensure effective delivery of the projects.   

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Hands-on software engineering, development, and/or architectural leadership role 
• HW-SW Co-design – work across teams to define projects, execute with quality and deliver on time
• Deliver performance for AI applications for in a resource constrained edge system
• Performance optimizations across various levels of software stack
• Lead the team working on chip (SoC) level optimizations
• Deliver a scalable software solution for bleeding edge of AI algorithms
• Define and map AI models to the AMD NPU system strongly adhering to the constrains of edge programming
• Lead the team working with cross functional teams across 3 time zones.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

• Experience in low level code generation for AI acceleration
• Familiarity with AI frameworks – ONNX and PyTorch preferred
• Years of experience working on Compilers for AI accelerators
• Some years of experience managing a team of compiler engineers
• Strong C/C programming skills and Windows operating system knowledge
• Experience with managing version control (git highly preferred) for engineering teams   
• Consistent record in engineering execution, delivery software on time with high quality and achieving premium high-performance software solutions  
• Experience leading multiple projects and teams with competing priorities 
• Disciplined approach to problem solving and ability to make business decisions in a technical environment 
• Strong Interpersonal, verbal, and written skills 
• Self-motivated with an ability to multi-task 

• Hands on experience in a large-scale software development environment
• Expertise collaborating across organizational boundaries and multiple geographies.

Education Requirements

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
