THE ROLE: 

We are seeking an accomplished and detail-oriented Sr. Manager of Cost Accounting Systems to join our dynamic finance team in a pivotal role that will directly influence the financial health and operational efficiency of our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing our cost accounting systems, ensuring that accurate cost data is readily available for decision-making purposes. This position requires a deep understanding of cost accounting principles and practices, coupled with a strong analytical mindset. The Sr. Manager will lead initiatives to improve system efficiencies, implement best practices, and maintain compliance with relevant financial regulations. Furthermore, the role involves collaboration across multiple departments to develop and refine metrics that will drive cost control and profitability.

Must have experience implementing the cost accounting functionality in S4 Hana and/or SAP – more implementations are preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES: 

• Lead the implementation and maintenance of cost accounting systems and processes.
• Develop and implement cost control strategies to enhance profitability.
• Analyze cost data to identify trends, variances, and potential areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop accurate product cost estimates and budgets.
• Create processes and systems to help evaluate variances at the part level.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on cost trends and financial performance to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and reporting standards, in the design of the system and processes.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

• Progressive experience in cost accounting or financial management.
• Extensive knowledge of cost accounting principles, practices, and methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial modeling tools; experience with ERP systems is mandatory.
• Advanced proficiency in SAP, Excel, and Power BI.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Semiconductor industry experience required. 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or CPA/CMA is preferred.
