Advanced Mobile Wound Care of Virginia is a Medicare-certified Wound Treatment provider that has been in business since 2004. We are known as providing the highest quality of care and are looking to employ only highly trained, compassionate skilled Nurse Practioner (PRN Nurse Practioner) to join our team! On our healthcare team, you will provide wound care treatment in private homes, nursing homes, or other facilities using cutting edge treatments that make our wound care stand out from other providers. You’ll also enjoy the flexibility and autonomy of creating your own weekly schedule along with highly competitive pay.
Service Area: Charlottesville, VA
Hours: Days –As needed Monday through Friday
As a mobile health care Nurse Practioner with Advanced Mobile Wound Care of VA, your visits are tailored to your geographical location and schedule.
Mobile Health RN Responsibilities
-Provide wound care services for long-term care patients residing in skilled nursing facilities.
-Prescribe appropriate medications, including controlled substances in accordance with KY Law.
-Order, review, and/or follow-up with treatments and diagnostic testing.
-Communicate with the nursing home staff on a regular and as needed to discuss changes in condition and/or the care plan.
-Collaborate with the primary care physician.
Not required to come into the office.
Mobile Health RN Qualifications
-Current, unrestricted NP license in the state of Kentucky.
-Board Certification.
-DEA licensure (Optional)
-Clinical background in adult, family, or geriatric specialties.
-Clinical background of wound care; including but not limited to chronic, debilitating, stalled, or infected wounds
-Must be comfortable with diagnosing and treating diabetic, arterial, venous, and mixed etiology wounds or Kennedy Ulcers.
-Must be comfortable staging pressure injuries according to the NPIAP
-Must be familiar with wound care best practice and advanced wound care products; skin-substitutes, collagens, alginates, foams, silvers, etc.
-Must have experience with wound vacs and other DME, such as pressure relieving/ reducing devices
-Strong preference to having wound certification or be open to getting certified
-Experience working in a long-term care setting.
-Ability to work with an EMR.
Ability to work within an interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care.
