Advanced Monitoring Services, Inc. is a fast-growing healthcare company that places highly trained technologists in neurosurgical procedures to make surgery safer. AMS is currently hiring very humble, very hungry, and very smart people to be trained as an Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Technologist. This immersive, fast-paced training experience is not for everyone. The information taught cannot simply be memorized, but must be learned well, learned quickly, and be applied effectively to create safer surgeries for our patients.
Based out of Northwest Arkansas, AMS is seeking someone to hire and learn while having hands-on training in Joplin, Missouri.
Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and be willing to learn in-depth neuroanatomical and neurophysiological concepts. Candidates must be willing to complete our training program to obtain necessary IONM certification for the position.
To have success in this role, a candidate MUST be able to thrive under pressure by multi-tasking to complete the neuromonitoring studies, caring for the patient, and managing relationships with surgeons & hospital staff. The ideal candidate has a very high interest in working in the medical field by providing patient care in a surgical setting. Additionally, the ideal candidate is interested in an ever-changing, flexible work schedule, as work is performed when surgical procedures are performed; not just between the hours of 9:00-5:00. We offer a complete training program and dynamic compensation package with incentives for completion of training objectives, board certification, tenure, and for reaching team objectives. This position will be based out of Joplin,MO, but some training will be required that is remote in nature.
Additional requirements:
- The ability to display computer efficiency, including typing
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products
- Proven adaptability to learning new software
- The ability to perform at an elite level early in the morning
Physical requirements:
- Frequent walking
- Sitting /standing
- Reaching including above/below shoulder height
- Frequent kneeling/crawling
- Pulling and pushing > 50 pounds
- Carrying < 50 pounds
- Frequent bending /stooping/crouching/twisting and continuous repetitive movements
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and achievements. Obtaining board certification as a CNIM by the ABRET board is a requirement upon completion of training course. AMS offers great health benefits and bonus plans.
