Advanced Motion Controls is looking for a Manufacturing Manager to join our fast-paced electronics manufacturing team.   Will oversee all aspects of electronic product manufacturing, ensuring the efficient production, assembly, testing, and quality control of electronic assemblies. This role requires leadership, project management skills, and a solid understanding of electronics manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will manage production teams, optimize workflows, and collaborate with design, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to meet product specifications and deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the electronic manufacturing team, including engineers, operators, warehouse, purchasing, planning and master scheduler.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the manufacturing floor, ensuring adherence to production schedules, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Ensure the implementation of best practices in manufacturing to achieve efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing floor to meet production schedules and maintain product quality.
  • Work closely with the product design and development teams to ensure seamless transition from prototype to full-scale manufacturing.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase productivity and reduce operational costs.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and drive initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Analyze production data to identify areas of improvement and make data-driven decisions.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and best practices to increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and coordinate with quality control to resolve defects and improve production processes.
  • Monitor and report key performance metrics (KPIs) such as production yield, cycle time, and cost per unit.
  • Understand and adhere to ESD and ISO procedures.
  • Train and mentor production staff to enhance skills, improve efficiency, and maintain high morale.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Engineering, Sales, Customer Service).
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve individual and team productivity.
  • Prepare regular reports on production performance, including output, downtime, and quality metrics.
  • Communicate effectively with upper management, providing updates on production status, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Additional job duties as assigned
  • Will report to the Chief Operating Officer.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 5-years experience in electronic manufacturing, with a minimum of 3-years in a management or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of electronics assembly processes, testing, and equipment.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage teams, resolve conflicts, and drive performance.
  • Solid understanding of quality control practices and industry standards.
  • Strong communication, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with manufacturing software, ERP systems, and MS Office. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics F&SCM a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Will frequently/constantly: stand, walk, use both hands, and carry/lift to 25 lbs. Occasionally will carry/lift to 50 lbs.
  • This is a full-time position located at our Camarillo facility, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.  Extended hours and or Saturday work during peak production periods will be required.
  • We are ITAR Registered (International-Traffic-In-Arms-Regulations). Hired candidate must be a US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Experience in high-volume production environments.
  • Familiarity with automated assembly systems.
  • Experience with regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IPC-610).

Required Education:

  • Minimum:  Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Pay Range: $120,000 to $140,000 annual salary

Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
