MATERIALS MANAGER

Advanced Motion Controls is looking for an experienced Materials Manager to join our fast-paced electronics manufacturing team.   Will have extensive experience purchasing electronic components, PCBs, metal, wire, MRO, etc.  Will be pivotal for maintaining the flow of materials necessary for our production and operational success. Will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of materials — from procurement and inventory management to distribution and disposal. Will ensure that the right materials are available at the right time and at the optimal cost, contributing significantly to the efficiency and profitability of our company. This strategic role will help streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance productivity by optimizing our material usage and maintain strong supplier relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with other departments to determine supply needs.
• Develop, implement, and maintain procurement strategies to balance quality, cost, and supply continuity.
• Purchase supplies and materials according to requirements, including negotiating terms with suppliers, working with consignment, vetting potential new suppliers, etc.
• Coordinate and supervise the purchasing team. Assist team in purchasing duties when needed.
• Coordinate and supervise the warehouse team procedures including shipping, receiving, pull kits, cycle counting, yearly inventory, etc.  Assist team in warehouse duties when needed.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring that there is neither excess nor a shortage, which could impact production schedules.
• Oversee the scheduling and logistics of incoming and outgoing materials to align with production schedules efficiently.
• Analyze market trends and supply chain dynamics to achieve cost reductions while maintaining quality standards.
• Keep detailed records on procurement and warehouse activity.
• Assist in forecasting to plan future orders.
• Will report to the Manufacturing Manager.
• Additional job duties as assigned. 

Requirements and skills:

• Minimum 3-years previous electronics Materials Manager experience (including purchasing and warehouse). 
• Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management systems.  Experience with Microsoft Dynamics F&SCM a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Must be a problem-solver, have attention to detail, a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and great at multi-tasking.
• Will frequently/constantly: stand, walk, use both hands, and carry/lift to 25 lbs.  Occasionally will carry/lift to 50 lbs.
• Understand and adhere to ESD and ISO procedures.
• Minimum Education:   High school degree or equivalent. 
• This is a full-time position located at our Camarillo, CA facility, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.   Additional hours as needed.
• We are ITAR Registered (International-Traffic-In-Arms-Regulations).   Hired candidate must be a US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.

Pay Range:    $110,000 to $120,000 annual salary
