Benefits :We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Admissions Coordinator. As the Admissions Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the intake and admissions process for individuals seeking physical, occupational and massage therapy services. This position is responsible for performing the internal admissions process, provide excellent customer service to our patients, work closely with front staff to generate patient admissions per company expectations and according to state regulations.
Responsibilities :
- Coordinate and oversee the admissions process for new patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient intake experience.
- Verifies insurance for each patient, including in / out of network status, home health information, and need for authorization
- Keep detailed records of patients authorizations for treatment and policy visits.
- Obtain pre-authorization & continued authorizations for any and all patients that require it.
- Inform patients of their insurance coverage.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Previous experience as a admissions coordinator or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of online insurance portals for verification and obtaining authorization.
- Proficiency in using phone systems and handling multiple phone lines.
- Knowledge of medical administrative support procedures and practices.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining patient records.
