Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health.
- Assist with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to client preferences.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Support clients with mobility needs, including transferring from bed to wheelchair or assisting with walking.
- Conduct patient monitoring to track health status and report any concerns to healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
- Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare teams.
Experience
- Previous experience in home health care, senior care, or long-term care is preferred.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols is beneficial.
- Experience in memory care or dementia care is a plus.
- Background in social work or related fields is advantageous but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
