What are the responsibilities and job description for the Athletic Trainer- BOC Certification Req position at Advanced Orthopedics?
Our Athletic Trainer Certified (ATC) is a valuable part of the extraordinary care offered at Advanced Orthopedic in Lehi, Utah and Eagle Mountain, Utah. The ATC is responsible for helping ensure the smooth operations in the fast paced environment of the clinic with the goal of a positive patient experience with every encounter.
Key Responsibilities:
-Preparing patients to be seen by physicians
- Placing casts and/or braces as required by the physicians
- Assisting in the collection, documentation, processing, and verification of information related to patient care
- Preparing injections and prescriptions as required by the physicians
- Keeping patients informed of wait times and managing visit expectations
- Communicates patient concerns and needs to the physicians
- Performs other duties as determined by the Practice Manager and/or physicians
- Timely responses to patient inquiries and timely completion of assigned tasks
- Home exercise plans/programs for simple range of motion and muscle strengthening needs
Entry Rate: Competitive; dependent upon experience

Shift Details: This position is full time (approximately 32-40 hours). Work schedule are typically set, but may fluctuate each week as they are coordinated with another full-time ATC. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 7 PM, Saturday 10 AM - 1PM.
Department: Orthopedics
- Completion of an accredited Athletic Trainer Certified Program
- Current Athletic Trainer Certified licensure in the state of Utah
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively on the phone, in writing and via email
- Ability to exercise discretion on sensitive and confidential matters - Demonstrated computer skills with data entry software
Minimum Requirements
- Must be able to flex schedule in accordance with patient and provider schedules
- Possess the ability to formulate home exercise programs and handouts to meet patient and physician needs
- Ability or desire to apply well formed casts and braces.
Preferred Qualifications
- One or more years work experience as an Athletic Trainer
- Experience in an orthopedic setting
Physical Requirements
Standing, sitting, walking, speaking, listening, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping and manipulating tools, typing, using peripheral computer tools.
