What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Bookkeeper position at Advanced Outdoor Management?
The Staff Bookkeeper works directly with the COO and Controller in all areas of Accounting, ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality for AOM and the clients served.
Functional Responsibilities Include:
Responsible for general accounting duties including, but not limited to: A/R, A/P, Night Audit Postings, Bank Reconciliations, and Monthly Financial Reports.
Records daily transactions and completes the posting process.
Accurately codes and posts transactions in the GL
Enters data, maintains records, and creates reports and financial statements.
Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
Summarizes current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, P&L statement and other reports.
Work closely with the Controller on monitoring budgets.
Pay Sales Taxes for properties under their control.
Validates financial transactions by auditing documents.
Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and information.
Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
Prepares and processes payments after verifying documentation.
Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information and trends.
Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Other responsibilities and tasks as directed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
