***Sign on Bonus for experienced Biller with at least 1 years worth of experience***
$500 paid after 90 days (and another $500 paid after 180 days of successful employment)
Our mission at Advanced Pain Management & Spine Specialists is to serve patients by providing compassionate state-of-the-art pain relief. We strive to provide outstanding patient service with treatment that exceeds the expectations of our patients and our referring physicians. We are looking to add a Medical Billing Specialist to our team.
Responsibilities:
- At least one year experience in payment posting, charge entry and claims follow up in a medical provider setting required (hospital or physician office)
- Understand and maintain current knowledge of the changes with procedures, billing guidelines, and laws for specific insurance carriers or payers
- Review encounters to ensure appropriate procedure and diagnosis codes are applied and accurate insurance claims are submitted.
- Must have extensive knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and MCPc’s coding
- Respond to recoupment correspondence letters from insurance carriers
- Properly communicate and document payment recoupment research
- Complete posting of payments (EFTs, CC payments, paper checks, zero pay EOBs) in a timely and accurate manner for both practices each day (Professional & Facility)
- Monitor claim status, investigate denied or rejected claims, and appeal denials when necessary
- Candidates must be able to work with high volume of work while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy demonstrating excellent communication skills
- Answer patient inquiries about their bills, explain billing processes, and assist with payment arrangements.
- Follows all work processes, procedures, while maintaining compliance to the rules and regulations set forth by the company.

- Proudly services the company by following all HIPAA, local, state, and federal laws and standards

Qualifications:
Education and/or training: High school diploma or GED. Associate degree desired
Experience:
- ICD-10: 1 year
- CPT Coding: 1 year
- Medical Billing: 1 year
