We are looking for experienced Valet Supervisors to join our friendly, professional valet parking team at an upscale boutique hotel located in the epicenter of Arcadia .
Position Summary:
The Supervisor supports the Assistant Manager in the day-to-day duties and responsibilities required to efficiently and professionally direct and oversee the parking operation and personnel on a shift-by-shift basis. In addition, they are responsible for assisting with training of personnel and employee relations, as well as enforcing all guidelines set forth in the APS Team Member Handbook.
Position Requirements:
- Must have prior valet experience and supervisory experience
- Must be able to drive stick shift
- Must have valid CA Driver License
- Clean CA driving record
- Lift up to 50 pounds (You may be assisting guests with their luggage)
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Be able to work in a team environment
Position Responsibilities Include:
- Maintain traffic and pedestrian control on front drive
- Oversee shift operations and direct parking personnel
- Upon request from APS management, oversee and/or perform Crossing Guard duties
- Maintain cleanliness of workplace (wipe down and disinfect all surfaces (such as keyboards, mouse, pens, desktops, etc.) and sweep front drive to clear all debris)
- Post up on the driveway (alert and attentive—no hands in pockets) and ensure the same from parking personnel
- Ensure that all electronic devices are secured in glove box
- Ensure all valet runners close windows and lock doors
- Ensure key audits and garage audits are conducted and documented daily
- Conduct training of personnel and assist Assistant Managers who also conduct training
- Coordinate and efficiently maintain the scheduled parking personnel shift changeovers and ensure thorough communication between outgoing and incoming personnel
- Ensure the proper level of guest service is always performed by parking personnel.
- Recommend operational improvements and report observations of team members to the Assistant Parking Manager and/or Site Manager
Pay Range: $19.50/hour tips and opportunities to advance within the company!
Shifts Available:
- 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. (8 hour shift with a 20 minute break)
- Available 7 nights per week
Weekly Hours: 32-40 hours/week available
