What are the responsibilities and job description for the Injection Molding Supervisor position at Advanced Pedestals Ltd?
JOB PURPOSE
The Injection Molding Supervisor is responsible for front-line leadership in day-to-day operations of a designated production team to include safety, quality, efficiencies and meeting customer expectations. Provides overall direction to production floor employees in the areas of production, scheduling, performance management, training and other related areas striving to improve overall operational efficiencies.
Responsibilities:
- Follow detailed instructions, processes, and procedures to correctly produce parts
- Mold, trim, inspect and pack parts to meet customer requirements
- Able to detect defective parts
- Report problems with quality, processes, equipment, or materials to the Production Supervisor
- Complete line clearance, scrap records, training records, and other documentation as required
- Complete routine tasks with minimal supervision
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions
- The position will require competencies that include molding, tooling, quality inspection and supervision.
- Monitors cycle times, scrap, and machine and labor utilization to ensure optimal productivity.
- Troubleshoot and adjust molding parameters to maintain quality and maximum product output
- Must have knowledge of different materials and processing
- Lead a team of people in execution of daily production tasks, training, and in continuous improvement
- Ensure cleanliness and maintains safe work environment within molding department
- Maintain positive employee relations and adhere to Company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

- 2 years in Plastic Injection Molding processing experience (education included)

- Plastics injection molding: 3 years (Preferred)
- PRIOR WORKING EXPERIENCE IN PLASTIC INJECTION MOLDING (PROCESSING, PERFORMING MACHINE SET-UPS & EQUIPMENT TROUBLE-SHOOTING)
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
