QUALIFICATIONS :

- Minimum 1 year experience in similar or comparative role.

- Warm outgoing personality, with the ability to interact effectively and in a supportive manner with persons of all backgrounds.

- Requires good grooming, and dress habits which reflect a professional image.

- Perform a variety of clerical duties.

- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance.

- Understanding of medical reimbursement and terminology desired.

Medical Receptionist Job Duties:

- Welcomes parents and children by greeting clients and visitors, in person or on the telephone.

- Optimizes clients satisfaction and provider time by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.

- Obtains pre-authorizations as required by clients health care insurers or managed care providers.

- Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties and answering clients questions.

- Informs clients of costs of care being provided. Collects and post fees according to protocols; prepare and balance daily financial registers and submit all forms and fees to the Office Manager.

- Must have computer knowledge and able to type routine correspondence and reports on PC.

- Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; scheduling equipment service and repairs.

- Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.

- Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.

- Picks up and delivers materials as required.

- Assure the readiness of the reception area each day and have all front desk activities organized.

- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

- Helps therapists clean and sterilize equipment between client appointments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
