Advanced Pediatrics is an independent, provider-owned, integrated pediatrics practice in Vienna, Virginia. Advanced Pediatrics has three Centers of Excellence:

  • Evidence-based, integrated (Gen Peds & Peds Mental Health) pediatric medicine
  • Research
  • Training and mentoring

The practice was established in 2000 by the late Dr. Richard Schwartz. Today, Advanced Pediatrics is the leading pediatric clinical practice in Northern Virginia, financially strong, and is a respected, active member of our community. Our 15-provider team includes physicians, a psychologist, advanced practice providers, a licensed counselor, a nutritionist, and a lactation consultant. That we were the very first integrated pediatrics practice in the state of Virginia is an example of our commitment to evidence-based and progressive pediatric care.

Research, training, and mentoring is the legacy of Dr. Schwartz that is part of our DNA. Currently, we are participating in five ongoing clinical trials and have participated in more than 300 clinical trials since 2000. We take pride in training the next generation of clinicians. We are preceptors for pediatric residents and advanced practice provider students. We have mentored more than 50 junior staff who have gone on to attend medical school. In 2022 alone, three of our nursing staff have been accepted to medical school.

The town of Vienna is a suburb of Washington, DC with a population of only 16,000. It has a small town vibe, yet is only 15 minutes from Washington, DC and all that Washington has to offer in entertainment, museums, restaurants, and sports.

Advanced Pediatrics is seeking a passionate Pediatrician to join our team of providers. to work with our pediatric patient population. The successful candidate will provide collaborative care to children, adolescents, and young adults in a primary care setting. This position will work closely with other clinicians in General Pediatrics, Mental Health and Nutrition.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Providing evidence based medical care pediatric patients
  • Actively participate in Advanced Pediatrics Clinical Research program
  • Supervise, training and mentor Pediatric Residents and Advanced Practice Providers
  • Promote preventative care and wellness
  • Deliver and exceptional patient experience to our patients and families

Job Types: Part-time or Full Time.
