Advanced Personnel Resources is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for our client in Burlington. Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of recent industrial maintenance experience with a background in mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance, PLCs, installation and building and grounds maintenance.
Job Duties:
- The Maintenance Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining facility systems and equipment to ensure smooth and efficient production operations. This role involves troubleshooting issues, coordinating repairs, and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
- Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and facility-related issues to minimize downtime.
- Recommend repairs or equipment replacements based on problem assessments.
- Coordinate and oversee the installation and repair of equipment, utilities (electrical, gas, air, water, and sewer), and infrastructure by working with external contractors.
- Work efficiently to ensure maintenance tasks and repairs are completed promptly to prevent production delays.
- Research and obtain competitive quotes from reliable vendors for necessary materials and services.
- Assist in training employees on the proper operation and basic maintenance of facility equipment.
- Implement and maintain a proactive preventative and predictive maintenance program to enhance equipment longevity and reliability.
- Organize and manage the inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
Job Requirements
- Physically capable of performing tasks that require extended periods of standing, sitting, lifting, and other movements essential to the role.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and meet assigned deadlines.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Adherence to all safety protocols while handling various tools, equipment, and facility systems.
- Willingness to take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by leadership and management.
- Ability to supervise production staff when necessary to ensure smooth operations.
