Advanced Personnel Resources is currently hiring for a client in the Triad who is looking for a Nurse Practitioner who is skilled in working with the Adult and Geriatric population.
Type : This position will be a Direct Hire
Salary Starting at : $140K
Schedule : Monday- Friday 8 am until 5 pm – requires you to be on call for one week every 4 weeks.
Job Summary
Applies advanced knowledge / clinical skills necessary to assess / manage the healthcare of chronically ill geriatric participants within the county.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs health histories, physical exams and patient teaching. Orders, interprets, and follows up on lab tests and results.
- Performs selected procedures and documents care orally and in writing.
- Initiates emergency measures as indicated.
- Recognizes abnormalities that justify immediate referral for intervention by others.
- Initiates, evaluates, reviews, and changes orders for selected medications and diagnostic studies / treatments within attending physician-approved protocols.
- Assesses, initiates, and coordinates patient care daily under the supervision of the attending physician.
- Requests consultations from all services as needed in collaboration with attending physician and / or established protocols.
- Acts as liaison with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals within the program, providing education, communication,n and support for healthcare staff, patients, and families.
- Directs patient management in conjunction with physician staff.
- Participates as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team.
- Attends staff meetings and takes part in participant care planning.
- Communicates any changes in participant condition to team members.
Salary : $140,000
