Job Summary
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to participate in clinical research studies. The Clinical Research Nurse Practitioner (NP) is an integral part of the research team and will work collaboratively with members of the team (consisting of the principle investigators, research study assistants, data managers, nursing and administrative staff) to develop and conduct clinical trials and research studies. S/he is responsible for managing and coordinating the care of study subjects enrolled in therapeutic and non-therapeutic clinical research studies. Serves as a consultant, educator, and Phase I-IV sub-investigator including participation in study teleconferences to provide site-specific clinician insight on emerging patient and trial data.
Qualifications and Skills
Required skills, qualifications and experience:
- Masters of Science required, Florida Licensed Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner license
- Minimum Required Experience: 2 years
- Ability to provide work direction to research support staff.
- Demonstrated understanding of good clinical practices and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the functions of the position with minimal supervision.
- Verbal and written communication skills to convey medical and research-related information to research subjects of all ages and backgrounds.
- Ability to identify confidential and sensitive information (written and verbal).
- Ability to implement good clinical practices in all interactions with study participants, their families, and colleagues.
- Ability to identify adverse reactions to study treatments and perform the required study protocol documentation to record these activities.
- Ability to implement study protocols with minimal supervision.
