Are you looking for an amazing career opportunity? Advanced Physical Therapy is the largest employee-owned practice in Alaska with five well-appointed clinics, and is currently seeking a Full-time Physical Therapist Assistant for our Anchorage, AK clinic.
The ideal candidate will be motivated, nurturing, and outgoing, with a strong interest in manual physical therapy. In addition to manual therapy, this position would be expected to take part in community sporting activities, mostly endurance and individual training sports (i.e. marathons, skiing, cross country, cycling).

Continued education is imperative and critical to the ongoing quality of care we provide to patients, education allowances are delegated to clinical staff annually. Physical Therapist Assistant Summary of Duties
Independently implements and manages therapeutic programs according to an established treatment plan under the guidance and supervision of physical therapist. Documents all care and services provided according to acceptable statutes and requirements. Performs tasks in compliance with the professional code of ethics, standards of practice, state/national regulations, and departmental policies/procedures.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Interprets physical therapist plan of care and determines appropriate procedures.
- Makes recommendations concerning standardized treatments or intervention based on treatment progress.
- Provide education to the patient about the proposed intervention, its material risks and expected benefits and any reasonable alternatives.
- Assess patient response to treatment/ intervention and makes recommendations on changes in treatment as required.
- Documents patient care at time of visit to ensure accurate record of intervention and provide important details to justify medical necessity.
- Participates in a multidisciplinary team to assist in developing intervention strategies to meet the client's needs.
- Provide educational information about injury prevention, ergonomics and ways to promote healing and wellness.
