As an integral member of the Surface Preparation team, you will play a key role in supporting customer relations throughout the ordering, shipping, tracking, and delivery processes. This position also involves providing basic assistance with customer issues and contributing to a high standard of service excellence.
The position offers an hourly wage of $26 to $30, DOE (Depends on Experience), with bonus earning potential.

Major Duties And Responsibilities
- Process, expedite, and input customer orders; complete required export documentation within company policies and guidelines to ensure successful order fulfillment.
- Maintain accurate customer records and files; respond to inquiries and troubleshoot customer issues in a timely manner.
- Serve as a liaison between customers and SHAPE associates to support order completion and delivery.
- Maintain computer files; prepare and distribute reports and documents as needed.
- Assist customers with software registration.
- Provide customers with part numbers for standard consumable parts upon request.
- Offer basic troubleshooting support using standardized documentation and procedures.
- Handle complex orders while collaborating with project teams.
- Understand business strategy to manage high-level customer orders and challenges effectively.
- Analyze customer buying behavior using CRM tools to identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities.
- Engage in aftermarket sales activities, including outbound calling and order processing.
- Develop sales opportunities by researching potential accounts, building relationships, offering technical information, and preparing quotations.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, fax, and email to close new accounts and ensure satisfaction.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- High level of interpersonal skills for collaborating across departments and engaging with customers.
- Creative, solutions-oriented mindset with attention to detail.
- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3 years of customer service and/or inside sales experience preferred.
