Overview:
- This is a Project Manager role for Administrative Applications. Implements standard project management industry practices for Agile Teams.
- Understands the PMI framework as well as how to establish a project organization and methodology within Agile (Scrum) organizations.
- Understands business and technical objectives of a project and works closely with multiple key project stakeholders. Communicates to clients and IT teams.
- Creates project charters, work plans, and other related project artifacts, as necessary.
- Provides technical support both during work hours and on-call, as necessary.
- Be able to comprehend and communicate complex technical designs and implementations as well as complex business processes.
- Develops and makes presentations as required to leadership and oversight entities.
- Serves in an analyst capacity as required. Sometimes on-call support may be required depending on the project phase.
The Worker will need to perform the following tasks and assignments:
- Overseeing design and development work
- Managing the project with feature-driven Agile methodology, overseeing, and tracking development progress, and ensuring project assignments and progress align with project timelines
- Developing and managing project plans
- Documenting risks, issues, and contingency plans; ensuring resolution of issues and removal of project barriers
- Providing weekly status updates (written and verbal) and conducting regular project team status meetings
- Overseeing the development of SDLC artifacts, ensuring business requirements are translated into technical specifications, guiding, and facilitating the SDLC process
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with project sponsors and stakeholders.
- Possessing effective communication and presentation skills
- Possessing strong teamwork skills
- Transferring working knowledge to current staff
EXPERIENCE-
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- 8 Years: Project Management Experience for large-scale Enterprise Implementations.
- 8 Years: State of Texas or Similar Federal/State Project Management Experience
- 8 Years: Development Experience
- 5 Years: PMP Certification
- 5 Years: State of Texas Project Delivery Framework Experience
- 3 Years: Agile (Scrum) Experience
- 2 Years: Salesforce Experience
- 2 Years: State Procurement and Contracting Experience
- 1 Year: Jira Experience
Contract Details:
- The primary work location(s) will be at 701 W 51st Street, Austin, Texas 78751.
- This position is hybrid, so 3 days Remote, and 2 days will be Onsite (Mon-Tues), so we require candidates to reside locally in Austin, Texas.
- Services shall be provided during normal business hours unless otherwise coordinated through the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays when the agency is closed.
- Services are expected to start 05/12/2025 and are expected to complete by 08/31/2025. Total estimated hours per Candidate shall not exceed 756 hours. This service may be amended, renewed, and/or extended providing both parties agree to do so in writing.
