Advanced Process Technologies, Inc. (APT) is looking to add a motivated Human Resources Generalist to play a key role in supporting and enhancing our people operations. In this role, you’ll oversee essential HR functions including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, leave and performance management, and compliance. You'll collaborate closely with department leaders to shape recruitment strategies, drive engagement initiatives, and support an outstanding employee experience.

This position will be located at our Headquarters in Cokato, MN.
Job Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle—from job postings and interviewing to hiring and onboarding.
- Collaborate with the HR Director and department managers to develop workforce plans and recruitment strategies.
- Lead companywide onboarding programs for new hires and managers.
- Represent the company at hiring events and college fairs to build a strong talent pipeline.
Employee Relations & Performance Management
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders on HR policies and workplace concerns.
- Provide performance coaching and guidance on career development, conflict resolution, and corrective actions.
- Conduct investigations and ensure consistent, fair application of policies.
Compliance & Policy Administration
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Prepare and maintain employment records throughout the employee’s lifecycle.
- Assist and support HR audits.
- Develop and update company policies and procedures as needed.
Data Management, Benefits & Payroll Support
- Manage HRIS data and collaborate with payroll regarding new hires and existing employee changes and terminations.
- Support benefits administration, including open enrollment, COBRA and unemployment.
- Partner with finance and payroll to reconcile benefits invoices.
Leave Management, Workers Comp & Offboarding
- Oversee FMLA, disability leave, and workers compensation cases.
- Facilitate offboarding including exit interviews and compliance checks.
Other Responsibilities
- Partner with the HR Director to develop employee training programs and track compliance.
- Contribute to HR projects, initiatives, and process improvements as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3 years of HR experience.
- 2 years of employee relations experience.
- Strong knowledge of Federal and State employment laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with urgency and professionalism.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sound judgment.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
Preferred
- Experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- SHRM or PHR certification.
- Prior experience with benefits administration.
- Prior experience with recruiting.
- Familiarity with Paylocity or similar HRIS platforms.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary range: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00
The salary range provided reflects the anticipated base compensation for this position.
