The Outside Sales Representative / Territory Sales Manager at Advanced Pump & Equipment locates, identifies, and performs sales functions for assigned territory and markets. Conducting the sales function relating to water and wastewater solutions for municipal and industrial customers.
Territory Location: Colorado and Western Kansas
Essential Duties:
- Market the company within the territory to engineering firms, contractors, municipal and industrial end users.
- Perform sales functions in the assigned markets as required for total municipal and industrial water & wastewater solutions to customers.
- Qualify RFQs and technical solutions with the applications engineering team.
- Closing of new projects/sales orders.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets for water and wastewater treatment projects within territory municipal and industrial customers
- Work with technical design and application engineers to propose technical solutions for municipal and industrial customers.
- Present technical solutions and presentations to industry network groups.
- Visit municipal and industrial treatment sites to review existing installations and provide technical recommendations for improvement in both performance and optimization.
- Understand proposed technical offerings and be able to explain to potential customers (plant managers, operators and engineers).
- Identify and screen potential business partners in the territory.
- Track ongoing business and results compared to established goals, and execute corrective actions as needed.
- Participate in planning / implementation strategies to enter into new/key markets.
- Assist in the fulfillment of requirements of Request for Quotes (RFQ)s using internal resources to provide needed information.
- Assist in order requests by customers to meet their needs.
- Ability to evaluate technical data using analytical skills, while providing customer service to new and existing customers.
- Work with Application Engineers with revising quotes and orders as required to facilitate processing.
- Identify and proactively search out new business from existing and new customers creating an active sales funnel.
- Develop, enable, and coordinate sales strategies, communicating among the sales and engineering teams.
- Develop a channel of communication amongst an established sales network that maintains contact with the customers and sales channel representatives.
- Review monthly sales activity and sales forecast
- Respond to Requests for Information (RFI)s from customers.
- Assist in solving customers problems.
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor.
Education/Experience:
- Water & Wastewater equipment/chemical sales and/or hands on knowledge is a plus.
Requirements:
- Must be able to travel overnight to visit customers throughout an assigned territory.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Google Email, Google Drive, Google Meet, Hubspot (CRM)
Pay Range: Dependent on Experience, base commission
