Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Office Manager, the Lead General Radiographer performs functions of a General Radiographer while taking on additional supervisory tasks e.g. training and protocol development. Oversite and direction of the daily operational flow and quality technical aspects of Radiography. Responsible for but not limited to: protocols, policies, training, education, performing examinations, communication, analysis and evaluation input. Point person for employees and physicians in regards to any concerns with General Radiography quality while working closely with administration to seek out opportunities in streamlining efficiency,
standardization, expense reductions and new procedures.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Perform duties of General Radiography Technologist.
· Review department performance with the office manager, effect changes as needed to improve services and assure compliance with regulatory requirements.
· Maintains appropriate training and evaluation of technical standards for employees within radiography while applying mentor-ship and implementing progress reports.
· Maintains tube certifications/licenses for all systems throughout the practice. Reviews physicist reports and maintains equipment QA.
· Maintain department facilities, equipment and materials in a condition to promote efficiency, health, comfort and safety of patients and staff. Assure proper storage of materials. Evaluate & assist in equipment needs. Order and maintain appropriate levels of supplies.
· Identifies, investigates and assists in problem solving, assuring delivery of quality radiography services for outpatients and employees. Act as educational resource
and be available for all staff.
· Communicate all AR protocols and/or procedural changes to Radiologic Technologist for full understanding and implementation.
· Promote and establish effective working relationships by fostering an environment that supports collaboration, teamwork, and mutual respect through effective communication and commitment to everyone’s success; including a healthy rapport with AR physicians.
· Flexibility to work all locations or shifts as needed as week as travel from site to site as needed.

· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in fast paced, customer oriented highly professional environment.
· Ability to establish and maintain mutually supportive, productive working relationships with colleagues, staff, and physicians.
· Proven record of taking direction professionally from other medical personnel.
· Demonstrated ability to learn on the job.
Educational Requirements:
· College degree preferred
· ARRT (RT)(R) and CT State License required At least 3 years’ radiography experience.
