Advanced Radiology is one of the largest independent radiology practices in the tri-state area with the most experienced radiologists. We are looking for a Mammography Technologist to join our team. The pay range for this role will depend on experience and qualifications.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
The Mammography Technologist performs screening mammography exams; reviews all necessary documentation related to the procedures and performs related clinical and administrative duties.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrated interest in meeting patient needs and assuring patient satisfaction.
- Operating knowledge of mammographic equipment.
- Performs all screening mammograms within assigned area.
- Reviews all necessary documentation to perform procedures.
- Performs preventative visual and manual inspections for each equipment assigned ensuring appropriate maintenance and cleanliness.
- Performs QC as required by the MQSA.
- Performs related clinical and clerical duties associated with the patient procedure.
- Assures that the procedures performed are in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Performs warm up calibration procedures necessary to ready the equipment for patient imaging.
- Contributes to a positive climate and open communication for a team approach.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and team work skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in fast paced, customer oriented highly professional environment.
- Ability to establish and maintain mutually supportive, productive working relationships with colleagues, staff, and physicians.
- Proven record of taking direction professionally from other medical personnel.
- Demonstrated ability to learn on the job.
Educational Requirements:
- College degree preferred
- ASRT (RT)(R)(M) and CT State License required
