ARMI is seeking a Bioprocess Technician to assist with manufacturing, analytical, and operational activities related to the successful scale up and automation of manufacturing processes for various cell-based products. This on-site role is expected to provide coverage over the weekends as well as weekdays. The position requires excellent responsiveness to the needs of individuals and teams within ARMI and throughout its ecosystem. To be successful in this role, candidates need flexibility, attention to detail, and a willingness to support many different processes with the 540 facilities at ARMI.
Responsibilities
- Wear proper PPE and observe all safety/environmental and ARMI guidelines to ensure that a safe and professional work environment is maintained
- Ensure maintenance of ARMI's documentation standards through proper record keeping
- Maintain familiarity with all department procedures to support ARMI process development, DTCC, and Ops needs
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and clean equipment as needed and submit work orders as needed
- Maintain accurate records (Benchling, batch records, etc.)
- Pursue development compatible with department goals and personal needs; maintain accurate training records and documentation
- Perform Process Development tasks on weekends with minimal supervision
- Support analytical laboratory testing as needed
- Maintain laboratory inventory, equipment, and housekeeping
- Support material management programs as requested
- Support internal waste management programs as requested
- Execute weekly safety tasks as requested
- Assist with Operations Support special projects as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; higher education preferred
- 1 - 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a similar manufacturing environment
- Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment
- Attention to detail, flexibility, commitment, initiative, and perseverance
