We are searching for a qualified HR Specialist to provide administrative support to our Human Resources department. Reporting to the HR manager, the HR Specialist will help with the time keeping system, recruiting, scheduling, onboarding, compliance, payroll and training tasks. The HR Specialist will also act as a liaison between the department and other employees. Your Role
- Act as a liaison between the HR department and other employees
- Serve as a reliable source of information for employees, promptly answering questions and escalating critical issues to the HR Manager
- Recruiting tasks such as creating job descriptions, reviewing resumes, conducting and scheduling interviews, assisting with the hiring process and following up with candidates
- Coordinate onboarding process for new employees, including new hire orientation, processing onboarding paperwork and updating employee files
- Compile and process employee documentation and records, and keep the employee database up to date
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
- Assist the HR manager with formulating policies, procedures, and changes, as well as communicating all updates to employees
- Understand and adhere to Compliance requirements, ensuring the company's HR practices align with federal, state, and local laws
- Track employee attendance, PTO, and leaves, and assist with payroll processing and documentation
- Performs other duties as assigned
Your Skills and Experiences
- Associate's or Bachelors in Human Resources or related field
- Two years of administrative assistant experience required, exposure to HR department preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, diplomacy and discretion
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications
