Career Description
Advanced Research Systems (ARS), is seeking process and detail oriented candidates to help procure the materials and parts needed to build world-class cryostats.
The successful candidate will have expertise in some or all of the following responsibilities:
Core Responsibilities
· Source quotations and create purchase orders for a broad range of custom and standard parts.
· Prepare and maintain reports, tracking spreadsheets, and documentation related to purchasing activities.
· Regularly check supplier order status to ensure timely arrival of parts for use in production
· Contact internal stakeholders to confirm receipt of goods accurate to the purchase order
· Clearly communicate to internal and external stakeholders purchasing policy and expectations.
· Maintain friendly relationships with key suppliers
· The Junior Buyer will report to the Finance Manager.

Qualifications and Core Skills
· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, purchasing, or a related field preferred.
· Full Proficiency with Excel, and other Microsoft applications required
· 1 - 3 years of experience in accounting, inventory, procurement, mechanical design, supply chain management, or related internships preferred
· Strong interpersonal skills and a natural interest in meaningful dialogue with key suppliers
· Experience with reading Bills of Materials and Drawings preferred
· Process-oriented and able to maintain a high level of document organization
· Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment is a plus
· Must be able to walk two miles per day unencumbered
· Ability to work full-time position based in Macungie, PA
· Legally eligible to work and reside in the USA
