Position Overview:
The Receiving Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of received materials into our accounting software. This position contributes to the seamless operation of our projects by managing and updating purchase orders, coordinating with project teams, and maintaining open purchase order reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive Purchase Orders:
Match packing slips with issued open purchase orders.
Request missing packing slips from project teams to complete receipt processing.
Follow up with project teams to verify expected receipt dates for materials.
Collaborate with project teams to resolve discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders.
Coordinate with the Accounts Payable department to address pending invoices.
Contact suppliers to obtain updates on open purchase orders.
Manage Open Purchase Order Reports:
Update daily open purchase order reports to provide visibility into the status of orders.
Meet established daily and monthly receipt processing metrics.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of two years in receiving or purchasing.
Technical Skills:
Proven expertise in managing purchase orders and resolving discrepancies.
Familiarity with Solomon software is a plus.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong organizational and follow-up skills, effective communication, and interpersonal abilities.
Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented, multitasker, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Working Conditions:
Adherence to safety protocols and regulations, including OSHA and state/federal guidelines.
Ability to work in a dog-friendly environment.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Subject to random drug and alcohol testing as per company and regulatory requirements.
