Solar Installer Required
Scope of Work:
- Previous solar installation experience is highly preferred.
- The skill to read and construct from single-line diagrams is necessary
- Experienced in bending ¾" and 1" EMT conduit.
- Experienced with mounting and wiring of solar components such as:
- Inverters
- Disconnects
- Subpanels
- Ensure conduit runs and equipment installations are tidy and visually appealing.
- Ability to work securely on ladders and roofs above 30 feet.
- Able to handle loads weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Work should conform to NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements
- Willing to help with rooftop work such as panel laying, wiring junction boxes, and lead runs.
- Available to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with occasional Saturdays.
- Required: Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and safety-oriented Solar Installer to join our crew. You'll install and maintain solar energy systems under close supervision from the Installation Manager. Experience with electrical systems, roofing, and blueprint readers is required. Great knowledge of the NEC and high voltage system handling is obligatory. Primary Duties:
- Interpret blueprints and electrical schematic diagrams
- Install rooftop and ground-mounted solar systems and all related electrical components
- Apply hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Make all installations comply with NEC code and safety standards
- Conduct system testing and rectify electrical malfunctions
- Work together with on-site staff to meet project deadlines
- Travel to different job locations as required
Qualifications:
- Solid knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics
- Solid electrical background with experience with high voltage systems
- Familiarity with National Electrical Code
- Skilled with power tools and hand tools
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license
- Previous roofing and fixture installation experience is a definite advantage
