Job Title: Lead Audio Video Technician

Locally-owned and operated in Fort Myers, FL. We specializing in custom commercial and residential audio-video systems. We design, sell, and install cutting-edge home theaters, audio systems, security cameras, home automation, and more.
We are seeking an experienced Low Voltage AV Lead Technician with a minimum of at least 1-2 years in low voltage installation. If you have the skills, leadership qualities, and a passion for AV technology, we want to hear from you!
Position Overview
As a Lead AV Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Leading and managing specific AV installation projects.
- Collaborating with a team of AV Technicians to ensure seamless installations.
- Installing and programming residential and commercial audio-video systems, including:
- TVs, Wi-Fi Components & Audio Systems
- Home Theaters & Whole-House Music Systems
- Smart Home Automation Systems
- Security Cameras (Residential & Commercial)
- Home Networks & Wi-Fi Systems
- Providing excellent customer service and problem-solving in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Take the lead on assigned projects, ensuring timelines and standards are met.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with other AV Technicians during installations.
- Prewire and retrofit installation of AV systems in homes and businesses.
- Install and troubleshoot cables (Cat 5/6, Coax, Fiber Optics, etc.).
- Mount TVs, speakers, equipment racks, and other devices.
- Perform equipment testing, resolve technical issues, and provide post-installation support.
- Ensure proper wiring, alignment, and cable management for a clean, professional finish.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance on-site and represent the company positively.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of AV installation experience.
- Ability to lead and manage projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic AV installation tasks.
- Ability to climb ladders (up to 20 feet) and work in attics/tight spaces.
- Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must own basic tools for AV installations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted.
