About us
Advanced Sound and Image is a locally-owned and -operated business. We design, sell and install custom commercial and residential audio-video systems, including home theaters, whole house audio, lighting control, security cameras, and home automation.
We are currently seeking an experienced Low Voltage AV Technician/ Installer.
**MINIMUM 1-2 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN LOW VOLTAGE REQUIRED**
Position Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for installing residential and commercial audio/video systems including:
- Televisions, Wifi Components & Audio Systems
- Home Theaters
- House Music Systems
- Home Automation Systems / Smart Home Technology
- Residential and Commercial Security Cameras
- Home Network and Wifi Systems
- Programming of A/V System Controllers
- Programming of Home Automation Systems
Job Duties & Requirements:
- Prewire and installation of A/V systems in new and retrofit construction environments
- Perform installation tasks for audiovisual projects including but not limited to: pulling cable, attic crawls in tight-fitting spaces, wire fishing, installing connectors, and mounting projects
- Installation, troubleshooting, repair, and termination of Cat 5, 5e, 6, Coax, Fiber Optic Cable, etc
- Drywall modifications including cutting holes for speakers, wall-plates, and other applications
- Loading and unloading of equipment to and from work vehicles and job sites
- Be able to regularly climb and work from ladders up to heights of 20 feet; lifting equipment, tools, and materials, loading and unloading equipment weighing at least 75 pounds.
- Test and resolve equipment issues
- Performing work at exacting standards in an efficient manner
- A professional and presentable appearance is mandatory at all times
Qualifications:
- You must have a minimum of 1-Year prior experience in residential or commercial AV installation.
- Must be able to perform work requirements specified
- Must have knowledge of basic hand tools used to complete physical installations of speakers, displays, equipment racks, etc
- Possess strong organization and time management skills with an ability to understand priorities
- Must be able to work in attics and small spaces
- Travel to various job sites required
- Must supply own tools
- A valid Florida drivers license
- Reliable transportation to work
- Ability to lift 50 pounds overhead frequently and unassisted on the ground or on a ladder
- Effective interaction with employees, customers, and colleagues

PAY:
Pay ranges from $17-25/hour depending on Experience, Proven Skills, and Certifications
