What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable Specialist - ASC position at Advanced Spine and Pain?
The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for reviewing explanation of benefits and insurance remits for accuracy.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for pulling and returning voicemails within 24 - 48 hours (Phone Triage)
- Opening/Sorting/Distributing Mail and Depositing Money
- Collection Accounts
- Claims Status Checks
- Appeals
- Maintains HIPAA at all times
- All other duties as assigned
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma / GED Certification
EXPERIENCE
- Three to five years’ work experience in a medical office setting
KNOWLEDGE
- Working knowledge of insurances
- Knowledge of Pain management, Ortho, and NGO
- Prior use of practice management and EMR programs
- Strong office and computer skills, experience with paperless workflows
- Work independently while maintaining a positive attitude
SKILLS
- Skilled communicator and ability to work effectively in resolving problems
- Solid organizational skills
- Exceptional attention to detail.

- Ability to interact with management, physicians, and teammates at all levels and effectively.
