Physical Therapy Aide

PT aides at Advanced Sports Medicine and Orthopedic PT have the following responsibilities:

Assist therapists and staff in caring for each patient

• Welcome and warmly greet each patient to the clinic
• Check-in all patients and collect copays as necessary in WebPT
• Provide any necessary intake paperwork for new patients
• Schedule follow-up appointments
• Safely assist patients with assigned therapeutic exercise programs as needed

Administer modality treatments to patients as instructed by therapists

• Thermotherapy
• Electrical stimulation therapy
• Ultrasound therapy

Assist in communicating with patients and answering inquiries daily

• Respond to online text messages in a timely and professional manner

Assist the therapists with daily charting

• Scribe for each patient chart, unless otherwise specified by therapist

Maintain cleanliness of the treatment spaces, work counter, and exercise areas at all times

• Clean after each patient using appropriate sanitary wipes including all equipment used per session
