This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.
The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 81,200.00 - 150,800.00
Responsibilities
- Prepare US and Canada tax compliance packages and related information packages;
- Prepare Canada monthly compliance package for PST/GST/HST filing;
- Assist with legal entity forecasting and cash tax reporting;
- Assist with the preparation of the global tax provision (ASC 740);
- Assist with property tax and other indirect tax compliance, as needed;
- Prepare reconciliations of tax-related general ledger accounts;
- Develop and implement process and technology improvements;
- Actively pursue continuous improvement through the deployment of Fortive Business Systems (FBS) tools;
- Performs other duties assigned as needed;
- This role will be a member of APSs Global Tax Team. Effective collaboration within this team and the broader finance organization will be critical;
- This role will interact with outside consultants, Fortive Tax, auditors and others
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s in Tax or Accounting preferred)
- 3 years of experience in a corporate tax department and/or a public accounting firm
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Curious learner with continuous improvement mindset;
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability;
- Ability to work optimally across multiple cultural and geographic boundaries;
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Experience running and designing Alteryx workflows (advanced Alteryx users preferred)
- Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred
