Conventional Lathe Operator :

Operate confidently, large Conventional lathes w / 36” Swing and 18 FT beds.
Operate fork lift and rig large heavy parts safely and effectively.
Must be able to adjust and true 4 jaw chucks and large steady rests.
Be familiar with speeds and feeds for large turning of materials such as Stainless steel, Copper alloys, Aluminum and Titanium to achieve best balance of speed and tool life.
Be able to read ASME Y14.5-2009 dimensioned drawings and interpret GD&T callouts and hold reasonable tight tolerances.
Reasonable competency of shop math will be required.
CNC VTL Lathe machine experience a plus but not required.
