Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Metal Spinning Engineering and Lead Technician to oversee and lead a team of spin operators and setup technicians. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in manufacturing, with a strong background in CNC and spin machine operation. This individual must possess leadership skills to manage production workflows, ensure operational efficiency, and maintain high-quality standards. The role requires close collaboration with management and other departments to meet production goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of spin operators and setup technicians, providing guidance, training, and mentorship.
- Program CNC spin machines as needed to optimize production.
- Set up and operate CNC spin machines to produce high-quality forged wheels and components.
- Work closely with management to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
- Troubleshoot machine issues and ensure timely resolution to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all production activities adhere to quality and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of machine settings, production reports, and quality checks.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Control, and Shop Management to ensure conformance with specifications.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in manufacturing, particularly in CNC Lathe and spin machine operations.
- Strong math skills and mental math capabilities.
- Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

- Pay Range: $32.00 – $46.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
Hours & Schedule
- Schedule: Day shift: 7 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday (8-hour shift)
- Expected Hours: 40 hours per week (plus overtime)
