Our Advanced Surgical & Restorative Care is growing, and we are looking to add a member to our team! We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator who will play a key role in supporting both our patients and medical staff. This position involves daily use of various computer programs and technologies, so comfort with multiple systems and a strong ability to navigate them efficiently is essential. The ideal candidate will be skilled in handling administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, managing patient records, and coordinating care using technology. A high level of comfort with computer systems and multitasking across different platforms is a must. As our practice continues to expand, we are looking for someone who is proactive, organized, and committed to providing excellent patient care. This is a part-time or full-time position depending on the candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors, manage patient flow, and answer phone calls and inquiries.
- Schedule surgeries, perform front desk duties, and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Verify insurance eligibility, verify and/or obtain prior authorizations, and manage front end collections by calling patients to schedule payment arrangements.
- Provide medical administrative support to the team, ensuring efficient operations.
- Utilize medical terminology to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
- Maintain a clean and organized office environment, adhering to office policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required.
- Prior experience in a medical administrative setting, preferably in a hospital or ambulatory surgical center.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proficiency with office software and technology.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Friendly and courteous demeanor, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care.
