We are looking for:
Our growing team is seeking a Media Server / Disguise Operator to provide expert-level operation of Disguise software for live events, including media server setup, programming, and execution of cues. The role will act as the on-site lead for Disguise software and integration, working out of our client's studio and live events venue spaces in Santa Monica, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Disguise D3 Designer programming and operation during live events.
- Collaborate with the Director, Producer, and/or client to understand the media playback and visualization requirements of each production.
- Intake NotchLC video files to the Disguise VX4 hardware and import these files into the D3 project.
- Exercise creativity when operating the show and proactively propose immersive elements that can improve the delivery of show assets.
- Follow the run-of-show document to ensure smooth show flow. Take direction from the stage manager or show caller to ensure all cues are executed as intended.
- Coordinate with other crew members to execute visual elements before and during shows.
- Conduct rehearsals with performers and the artistic production team, making necessary adjustments to equipment setup and cue sheets.
- Perform equipment and software checks before every performance to guarantee optimal media playback quality.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Media Server and Disguise Operator.
- Proven excellence in control room demeanor, team-first attitude and the ability to handle pressure in a fast paced environment.
- Expert-level knowledge and understanding of Disguise D3 Designer, and Disguise VX4 hardware.
- Ability to operate the Disguise VX4 server via Companion Control Software.
- Strong organizational skills to manage media assets efficiently and maintain an organized library within Disguise software.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to changing requirements during live productions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical team members.
- Ability to work on-site in Santa Monica, CA.
Compensation:
This part-time position offers a range between $60-90 per hour, depending on experience.
Salary : $60 - $90
