What are the responsibilities and job description for the SQL Server DBA position at Advanced Tech Placement?
This position is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the performance of our SQL Server databases, ensuring data integrity, availability, and security by performing tasks like installation, configuration, backup management, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and implementing database security measures, while collaborating with application developers and IT operations to support critical business systems.
SQL Server Database Administrator Job Responsibilities:
· Provide leadership in creating roadmaps and future state architecture of SQL Server platform collaborating with stake holders and business partners
· Ensure performance, security, scalability and availability of enterprise Azure SQL Databases and Azure Data Factories
· Perform technical troubleshooting to diagnose, isolate and correct data and database issues
· Research emerging trends and new technologies to identify potential improvements, anticipates issues and develops preventive measures
· Collaborate with clients, service providers and peers to successfully deliver on business commitments
· Design, implement and monitor disaster recovery plans as it pertains to the production database environment
· Identify high-load SQL statements, gather performance-related data, and identify and resolve missing, unused, and indexes that need enhancements
· Develop Stored Procedures, Processes and/or code to support data repositories.

SQL Server Database Administrator Qualifications/Skills:
· 5 years of experience in MSSQL Server (version 2019) in an enterprise level environment
· 3 years of experience performance tuning experience
· 3 years of experience working with Azure environments
· 3 years of experience with managing enterprise-level database environments supporting complex/critical applications
Additional experience that will be beneficial:
o High degree of knowledge in Azure data factories, data security and azure infrastructure components
o Ability to transform data, create workflows and ensure PCI compliance
o Strong TSQL and PowerShell knowledge; able to write and read as well as diagnose, develop and troubleshoot scripts
Education and Experience Requirements:
· B.A. or B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
· 3 years of job-related experience
· Any SQL Database Administrator certification
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
