What are the responsibilities and job description for the Computational Mechanics Engineer position at Advanced Technology and Research Corporation?
At Advanced Technology and Research Corporation, we are seeking a skilled Computational Mechanics Engineer to join our team in Indian Head, MD. As part of the Propulsion and Analysis Branch, you will work on world-class military programs that support the US Navy's Warfare technology.
The ideal candidate will have experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and be proficient in modeling and analysis techniques. Responsibilities include:
- Performing FEA of Naval weapons systems and components
- Building or modifying 3D models for FEA using CAD software
- Analyzing and evaluating the structural behavior of Naval systems and test articles
Other responsibilities include performing static, dynamic, thermal, buckling, and modal analysis, as well as creating technical documents and reports.
We offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 per year, along with an attractive comprehensive benefits package.
