PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful applicant will join ATR's Engineering Services Division, working as a Senior Systems Engineer at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division, Indian Head, MD.You'll have an opportunity to work on world-class military programs that support the US Navy's Warfare technology as part of the System Engineering Department. The applicant shall work on site with other engineers and provide software management and system engineering support for the JCREW Tech insertion and Next GEN efforts.
The applicant will be required to work in collaborative teams working with program technical leads and their engineers guiding them with Engineering principals and documentation and report what they learned with the Lead Systems Engineer.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation.Current successful background investigation completion is a plus.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 15 years of Software management and Systems Engineering experience
- Experienced with Systems Engineering and Project Management principals
- Experienced with managing projects for Navy systems and components
- Job experience with Navy or DoD is preferred
- Experience with Navy program management of military systems
- Experience with configuration and data management of major software systems
- Advanced understanding of the principles of requirements management, risk analysis, data management, configuration management, verification and validation
- Experience with managing projects for Navy weapons systems and components, product improvement programs, and manufacturing technologies
- Experience with analysis report writing and weekly report writing
- Interest and aptitude for working on large, complex technical projects and teams
- Ability to interact with technical and non-technical customers and external teammates to understand their technical issues, frame potential solutions and develop collaborative projects
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and work in a dynamic environment
