What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President Operations position at Advanced Technology Search?
We are working on behalf of, a fast-growing maker of High power Amplifiers and RF Sub-Systems for Radar, EW and other Defense applications. They have several large defense programs in-house, and the prospect of several more in the pipeline. They are scaling up to $25-$50 MIL in annual sales. They are based in the Northern NJ/NYC metro area.
They are looking for a VP of Operations, who will manage a broad range of functions, leading manufacturing / operations, and interfacing with design engineering:
- Will take designs, and figure out and plan how to get them manufactured, then implement that plan.
- Will coordinate groups relevant to design and manufacture, driving best practices. Will select and integrate manufacturing tools, and ensure high yields, efficiency and cycle times . Will ensure attractive profit margins.
- We need a BSEE or similar technical degree, with 10 years getting RF modules and subsystems into production.
- We need 2-5 years in a management role, ideally with a company or companies in a similar stage of their growth.
- We need a strong leader, someone with a proactive approach to improving processes, and proven success managing operations at the 25 MIL to 50MIL range, while changing the culture and processes to enable them to scale up further.
- Prefer experience with methods like AS9100, ISO9100, ERP, SixSigma, and LEAN to provide tools for a systemic, pro-active approach.
- Our candidate would ideally come from an RF Amplifier/ RF subsystems technical background, with experience in the Defense market.
