Summary:
Advanced Technology Systems Company (ATSC) has an opportunity for a VP of Technology and Product Development to play a vital role in defense contracting, driving technological advancements and ensuring the security and effectiveness of critical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Managing technical operations within ATSC.
- Overseeing research and development, technology strategy, and technical innovation.
- Serve as technical advisors to higher executives, providing insights on technological trends and advancements.
- Work closely with government agencies to develop and deliver technology solutions for defense and national security purposes.
- Developing and overseeing strategies to maximize the use of technology to improve productivity and output.
- Ensuring that employees are using the company's technology in an efficient and profitable way.
- Developing and implementing data protection and quality assurance processes.
- Monitoring and assessing IT (Information Technology) budgets.
- Researching and remaining aware of emerging and fading technology trends and platforms and incorporating this knowledge into the organization's technological approach.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, business, cybersecurity, engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant IT professional experience in a govcon environment.
- Must be a US citizen and eligible to obtain a security clearance.
- Previous experience managing in a technology related company.
- Ability to balance short term tactical decisions with long term strategic thinking.
- Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to engage effectively with a diverse array of stakeholders.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Work is typically performed in an office setting with occasional field work
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.
- Must have the ability to lift 15-25 pounds
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Some travel may be required
