Job Summary

As an Auto Glass Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and replacing automotive glass to the highest standard. You will interact directly with customers, ensuring a positive experience, and adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures. This is a hands-on role requiring strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation & Repair: Perform the removal, installation, repair, and replacement of windshields and other auto glass components using proper tools and techniques.
• Inspections & Diagnostics: Assess damage to determine the best repair or replacement method; recommend solutions to customers.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate clearly with customers regarding required work, estimated completion time, and any additional services or concerns.
• Quality Control: Follow established company guidelines for quality, ensuring all work meets safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and customer communications.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations while operating tools and equipment.
• Team Collaboration: Coordinate with colleagues and management to optimize workflow and provide outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience in auto glass installation, repair, or related automotive service is needed.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with various adhesives, sealants, and tools related to auto glass repair.
• Physical Ability: Capable of standing, bending, stooping, and lifting up to [X pounds] throughout the workday.
• Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Customer Service: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable explaining technical details to customers.
• Detail-Oriented: Focus on accuracy and completing tasks thoroughly.

Work Environment & Schedule

• Location: Position is based in Tucson, AZ.
• Hours: Full-time position with weekends
• Conditions: Work may be performed both indoors and outdoors, depending on customer and facility needs.

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
