There are 8 Certifications you must pass to become a Master, and for each certificate you earn while you work here, Advanced Tire Service will reward you with a $100 bonus each.
The following is a representative list of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and high quality
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Communicate directly with the Service Manager, so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed.
- Expertly diagnose issues based upon experience, analysis, and testing
- Maintain leading-edge knowledge of automotive diagnosis technology, digital manuals, and reference materials
- Possess an increasingly broad knowledge of how vehicles' complex components work and interact
- Perform routine service inspections, test, and lubricate engines and other major components
- Adapt to rapidly changing technologies in the automotive industry, as well as in the diagnostics arena
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- MUST have own tools
- Experience performing 4-wheel alignments preferred
- MUST have experience repairing passenger/light truck (medium duty and heavy-duty vehicle repairs preferred)
- MUST have experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- ASE certifications are ideal
- Strong automotive background
- Strong teamwork skills
- Willing to submit to a drug screen & background check
- Must have clean & valid driver's license

- Coachable, hardworking, and possess general mechanical aptitude.
- Must have strong time management skills, as well as, close attention to detail.
- Reliable and dependable with self-initiative.
- Ability to complete all tasks assigned, properly, with little to no follow-up.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and time constraints.
- Ability to learn and operate provided service equipment and hand tools.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Must be able to lift and carry 50-150 lbs

Pay Type: Hourly with potential to enroll in the Mechanic Commission Program; based on experience and length of employment with the company.
