Counter Sales and Warehouse Associate

Advanced Turf Solutions is growing! We are seeking a Counter Sales and Warehouse Associate to join our team in St. Peters, MO. ATS is a green Industry Distributor offering turf and ornamental fertilizer, chemicals, grass seed, sports turf products, ice melt and accessories to the golf, lawn care, landscape and athletic fields.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for generating in store sales by providing excellent customer service to our walk-in clients. A counter sales person must have the personality and temperament to deal with customers in a professional, polite and efficient manner. The counter sales person must provide answers about products, promotions, supply and other pertinent information as needed. This position would be primarily at the counter, but would assist in the warehouse as needed. As a warehouse associate, team members are responsible for assisting the Facility Manager in the necessary tasks to keep the warehouse running efficiently. This includes loading and unloading trucks, assisting with on-site customers, receiving and stocking product and overall organization of the warehouse.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promptly assist customers at counter. Ask pertinent questions, provide information they may need, take orders and provide excellent customer service
• Answer telephones professionally and pleasantly, assisting customers, taking orders and customer service
• Provide product / job quotes as appropriate
• Keep showroom up to date with seasonal product displays
• Assist with shipping and receiving of orders, orders must be priced and invoiced daily
• Work with Warehouse Personnel on orders
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks as needed
• Assist with shipping and receiving procedures
• Filling work orders correctly and delivering them to shipping
• UPS, FedEx, USPS shipping
• Ensuring warehouse is safe for all employees
• Opening of bales, crates and other containers
• Inventory counting
• Basic housekeeping
• Making sure everyone has the proper safety-gear
• Help with walk-in/onsite customers, pulling orders and loading vehicles
• Keeping the warehouse organized
• Daily order entry

QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma
• 2 Years Turf Experience – Preferred
• One-year related work experience
• Reliable transportation
